Q) What are the technical requirments needed to install Ikona?
A) You will need 150MB free HDD space, Minimum 256MB Ram and a CPU speed of a minimum 800 MHz however we recommend 1Ghz CPU speed.
Q) What must I do before installing Ikona?
A) Ikona MUST be installed on a "CLEAN" system that means a "virus free" system. To get the best possible "clean state" before installing Ikona we recommend that you use your existing antivirus provider to run a complete scan of your system, this process should also be done for anti spyware and other anti-Malware tools that you may have installed on your computer. Once you are satisfied that your system is "Clean", disconnect from the Internet/network and uninstall all antivirus and other anti-Malware software you may have. Install Ikona
Q) Can I install Ikona without uninstalling my existing Anti-Virus Software?
A) No. Ikona does not work with any other antivirus products, you will need to uninstall all existing Anti Virus software before you can install Ikona.
Q) Does Ikona require an internet connection or signature database or heuristic logic to keep up to date?
A) No, Ikona is intelligent software that detects the presence of Viruses and other Malware before they can execute on your PC. All Malware is regarded as UNKNOWN and therefore does not require a database or updates, nor is heuristic logic used in our software and no Internet connection is needed at any time.
Q) How effective is Ikona in dealing with unknown viruses?
A) Ikona has reported a 100% success rate in identifying and removing all Malware.
Q) How does Ikona inform me when it has identified a virus and removed it?
A) Ikona home user version will display a message "Ikona has removed a Malware from your system". Corporate and SoHo Users do not have a user interface and can find any “deleted malware files” Information in the daily Log file.
Q) How does Ikona keep a record of virus activity on my system?
A) Ikona maintains a very detailed entry log of all events on your computer system, including any changes to system files and all other operating system files, email and all other functions, The log file can be accessed from Ikona on your desktop. Reports are kept for 180 days and then should be saved to a folder of your choice, If you do not need to keep the log file Ikona will automatically delete the log on the 180th day.
Q) Do I need an internet connection to run Ikona?
A) Ikona does not need an internet connection at any time... Software upgrades are emailed to you when they come available; Software upgrades are plug and play.
Q) With Ikona installed on my system, how do I install new software?
A) For Ikona to properly protect your system it needs to be sure that all new software is screened before loading onto your PC, Ikona will perform this function automatically, There are no limitations to downloading software, peer to peer operations, file sharing and other uses. Ikona protects at all times.
Q) Is Ikona limited in what it can remove?
A) NO. Ikona removes ALL Viruses, worms, trojans and Spyware and any Malware. Ikona also offers effective protection from hackers and ransom ware.
Q) Does Ikona require my input to delete the Malware?
A)No. Once Ikona is certain that the file identified is a Malware, Ikona will remove the file automatically. No input is required from the user.
